Short Information
The As-Sunnah Foundation’s Self-Reliance Project empowers the poor through technical training, financial assistance, and materials to enhance skills, helping them become self-sufficient while adhering to Islamic principles. This initiative also provides religious education to ensure participants lead ethically sound lives. The foundation regularly supervises and supports these individuals to ensure their success. Programs include distributing rickshaws, vans, livestock, and other resources to 3,077 disadvantaged people across 64 districts, with 2,000 rickshaws distributed in 2023 alone. This project promotes both economic independence and spiritual growth.
If you don’t have anything else in the house, if you have two handfuls of rice, it can be boiled for a day. This is how many families spend their days in this priceless market. As-Sunnah Foundation has distributed 4250 kg of rice among 170 poor families thinking about the suffering of people. Each family received a sack of rice weighing 25 kg. This project was implemented on November 11.
Erendabari Char area of Phulchari Upazila of Gaibandha was chosen as the distribution spot. To reach where you have to cross a three-hour sea route. At the end of the waterway, the only common mode of transportation is horse-drawn carts. Geographical location is the big witness of their misfortune.
